What do you need before a training session?
If you haven’t eaten for a few hours, you need a snack that is not going to upset your tum, but that will deliver a quick hit of energy to your muscles to enable you to perform at your best in the session. This one is an acquired taste, but why not give it a try?
Marmite has essential B vitamins, and is great for veggies who can be missing B12 in their diet. A banana has a perfect 25-30g dose of carbs, and if you use a wholemeal bread you add extra vitamins and proteins too. All easy on the tum, and eaten an hour or so before exercise, perfect fuel for getting you out on the track or the road for your run.
