ChocChiaNut Smoothie

Our #WholeHealth athletes are mad for a bit of peanut butter.

And after a long ride this delicious and nutritious shake feels like a well-deserved healing luxury. A smoothie is perfect post-ride as it rehydrates and contains protein and carbs. Drinking it as soon as you get in can also quell your hunger and prevent you over-eating.

Delivering protein and carbs directly back to the muscles, and a taste-sensation to the tastebuds, once you’ve tried it, you’ll be dreaming about this particular concoction all the way home, and visualising it’s creamy lushness for the last few kms of your ride…

The good news is it takes seconds to make in the blender. Make sure you always have these ingredients on hand, and just chuck them together and blend for instant refreshment…

Choc chia nut smoothie

1 banana

1 tbsp peanut butter

1 tbsp good quality cocoa powder

1 tbsp chia or milled chia seeds

250ml of milk-cow, soya, almond or oat, whatever suits your tum best

Whiz it up, glug it down, feel better.
