Smoked mackerel pate snack time

Hi team,

I made this snack for Beetroot Bootcamp ladies at the weekend, and they loved it so much that I thought you guys should benefit from this recipe too. Especially as it is loaded with those healthy fats all you triathletes should be eating, and is so super quick and easy to make that you have no excuse for not making this in between training sessions, kids, jobs, etc etc

Kids tend to love this too, even if you usually have trouble getting them to eat oily fish.

You could spread it on a few oatcakes as I did at the weekend, or to introduce more veg and up the nutrition, eat it with veg sticks; carrot, celery, pepper… even raw broccoli as I know one WholeHealth-er has taken to doing…

2 smoked mackerel fillets

150g Philadelphia soft cheese

juice of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon horseradish sauce (or to taste)

Skin the mackerel and place in a blender

with the other ingredients and blitz

As easy as that – a delicious nutritious snack in minutes!
