Sauna Guidelines


  • Use the sauna at your own risk. Check with your GP first if you have any concerns
  • Don’t touch any metal parts in the sauna, or add logs. Let us know if you need a top-up
  • Stay hydrated! Drinking water is available-make sure you drink before and after sauna
  • Swimwear must be worn in the sauna unless explicitly stated. Please also sit on a sauna towel
  • If you feel unwell in the sauna, let us know straight away
  • Be mindful of your sauna companions-keep conversation low and relaxing
  • When adding steam- löyly- check with your sauna buddies first and use the ladle at arm’s length
  • Use the sauna timer and clock to stick to your timeslot
  • Enter and exit quickly to preserve the sauna heat-work as a team to keep the steam!
  • Wear sliders or footwear to and from the lake for your dips
  • Relax and enjoy! Your hosts are here to help you get the best from your session
